I was thinking of coming to whistler for a few months next summer and was wondering if my current set up would work: first, I have a Norco Sasquatch hardtail, 66 fork and Hayes brakes and random shimano stuff; second, I have a Turner RFX from around '02 when the head tube was the same as the Highline model, horst link, Avid juicy brakes, 202mm rotors, a Marzocchi Junior T fork, mavic deetrax wheels, raceface evolve DH cranks, sram x.9 drivetrain w/e.13 chainguide., Chris king headset and truvativ hussefelt bars, clamp on grips...will this set-up work up there? I know I'll never do table tops over forty foot gaps or do 15 drops, but I wanna ride the best there is, anyway. I ride big mountain here in Jackson hole wy, but we only have a few burly downhill trails. This bike did fine at a lift accessed trails in big sky Montana, it held solid and lands good-sized jumps no problem...any advice? I'm not rich, but I do have enough to eventually get something a bit burlier than what I have, but the trend seems to be getting away from that, and thats sort of the bike I have now, anything bigger and heavier seems like it would just be a full - on downhill racing bike designed for those tricky, competition race courses. Is the A - line like that? or is it really buffed out with well - thought out jump placement. any input appreciated. Oh, and I'm coming by myself to be low- profile.

A-line was one of the first trails built on the mountain and such it has been continually tweaked over the years. I would say that is pretty buff with some breaking bumps on the corners, but not in every one. I know lots of guys that ride hardtails in the park to work on their speed and skills, then transfer it over to the big bike. I prefer a 7-8" bike myself for most of the trails.
Bring both with you, or just the Turner and you will have a great time. Don't forget that there is over 250km of single track in Whistler too!

thanks for your advice-. Is there localism in Whistler? By that I mean long time locals that really resent influxes of new - comers and let them know. I've met lots of people from Canada that seem really nice, though.

not really big localism, there are a couple of asses, but almost everyone is nice. We get over 1 million visitors each year.. so we really know which side of the bread is buttered.

bump up lurkI believe that we are not real social workers. We may be doing social work in the eyes of the people, but we are really contemplatives in the heart of the world. For we are touching the body of Christ twenty-four hours…And I think that in our family we don’t need bombs and guns, to destroy, to bring peace, just get together, love one another, bring that peace, that joy, that strength of presence of each other in the home. And we will be able to overcome all the evil that is in the world.Thsale is a professional, loyal and reliable wow gold supplier online, we pioneered selling cheap wow gold.
